"We were told we could check in at 3 p.m. When we arrived shortly past this time, we were told it would be another half hour to hour before our room was ready. There was no explanation, and we received no apology. After sitting for an hour, we again tried to access our room. Once again, the story was the same. The room was not ready and it would be another hour. After asking to speak with the manager, the hotel desk clerk disappeared for 10 minutes. When he returned, he said the manager was on the phone. After insisting that the hotel make a concession, he said he would give us free breakfast. We usually find service in Montreal to be wonderful. There were many disgruntled patrons at the counter trying to check in, and no apologies were heard. We will not stay at this hotel again."
